Biophysicist / Biomedical Engineer (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities
- Direct communication with CTO in scientific subjects, such as plan, develop and execute high quality experimentation (internal and external).
- Be the subject matter expert for ICHORtec’s platforms in the laboratory, including manage biological sample analysis, generate impactful and structural data to support our projects.
- Represent the Biophysicist/Biomedical Engineer in cross-disciplinary project teams and in external collaborations with academic, biotechs and CROs.
- Explore target mechanisms, propose and evaluate novel hypotheses.
- Define and implement strategic and operational goals in collaboration with your team.
- Foster open and clear communication within the team and across different functions.
Your profile
- A Ph.D. in Physics (or equivalent) with proven experience in molecular biology such as RNA/DNA/protein-related projects.
- Alternatively, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Structural Biology, or a closely related discipline, with proven experience in biophysical techniques such as spectroscopic methods, Spectral Shift, dynamic Light Scattering, calorimetry, electron cryo microscopy, etc.
- Ability to independently set up novel techniques in a result-oriented manner.
- Work experience in an industrial laboratory setting.
- In-depth understanding of biophysical and biochemical processes in DNA hybridization and fluorescence analysis is a strong plus.
- Pragmatic, optimistic, problem-solving attitude with natural curiosity; someone who will reach out proactively, internally and externally, to source alternative solutions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with a high level of team spirit and pro-activity.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and to embrace change with an open mind.
