In the shadow of “the pandemic behind the pandemic,” antimicrobial resistance (AMR) escalates unchecked, with superbugs like Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) fueling healthcare crises. Globally, bacterial AMR claimed 1.27 million lives directly in 2019, associating with nearly 5 million deaths and imposing staggering economic burdens, up to US$700 billion in hospital costs alone.

MRSA accelerated by antibiotic misuse and poor controls—threatens routine treatments, linking to healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) that affect 1 in 31 US patients daily. With 1 in 3 HAI bacteria resistant, outcomes worsen for vulnerable groups like cancer patients or those on dialysis. Traditional lab-bound methods like culture or PCR lag behind, delaying isolation and stewardship in high-risk settings.

Empower Your Frontline: ICHORtec's Q-FMB® Platform

Introducing ICHORtec’s Quantum Free Energy of Molecular Binding (Q-FMB®) technology in the portable ICHORscope, redefining MRSA screening with quantum leap at the point of care.

The ICHORscope: Compact power for instant MRSA insights, no lab required.

Target mecA and nuc genes for confident MRSA detection, minimizing false positives. Measure ΔG binding energy for single-nucleotide accuracy in under 5 minutes, even in inhibitor-rich samples. Closed cartridges eliminate contamination; UUID traceability integrates with cloud surveillance for outbreak alerts and stewardship.
